This year’s Conservation Camp was a huge success, thanks to the generous hospitality of the Andrews family for hosting the event at their farm. Campers enjoyed hands-on sessions in kayaking and safety with Dustin Burgoon, learned about falconry and bow fishing from Jeremiah Weber of www.boondockoutdoors.com, and explored wilderness survival skills with Vince Hornung of Mountaineer Search and Rescue. The three-day camp was filled with learning, adventure, and fun. Special thanks to all who helped make it possible. The Cameron County Conservation District and CCOYA continue to bring exciting outdoor programs to local youth—don’t miss out next year!
