‘My Mom’

My Mom is my best friend

My hero

My partner in crime

On September first she made her entrance into the world

I’m so glad my grandmother gave birth to this pretty girl

Another birthday

Another year to be blessed

To celebrate the very best

Aging like a fine wine

Always sublime

I’m glad you are mine

I love you Mom always

Enjoy your special day

Hurray!

‘Memories’

Time marches on.

We cannot stop the hands on the clock.

Nor the turning of the pages of a calendar.

Good, bad, happy and sad.

Memories are the essence of our being,

Forming the basis of our personal history.

The impact of people, events, accomplishments,

Conflicts, achievements, disappointments

All create the chapters in our atobiography.

In our lifetime,

With a vast accumulation of memories,

May we find many

To be grateful for and treasured.

“Psalm 23”

Christ is the Savior of my soul

There is nothing good he won’t provide

He calms my mind, like a quiet stream

Always there walking by my side

He restores what life has taken away

Renewing my strength from day to day

Picks me up like a gentle shepherd

Holds me close when I’ve no words to pray

Even the valley of death is but a shadow

To walk through to the other side

He will never let me go this way alone

But be my Savior and loving Guide

Goodness and mercy follow me each day

The oil of joy renews my tired mind

I daily dwell in the presence of Jesus

And leave my enemies far behind
