Cameron County School District Security Vestibule

Cameron County School District Security Vestibule
The new security vestibule at Cameron County High School is finally complete, providing an added layer of safety and security at the school’s main entrance. The project was identified as a needed improvement after the district reviewed safety risks within the building. The vestibule creates a separate, controlled entrance for visitors, keeping student and visitor access points separate. Visitors must use the designated entrance and be screened before entering the school, while a buzzer system allows school personnel to identify and communicate with visitors before granting access. The security vestibule was part of the $5.1 million McClure project approved by the Cameron County School Board.
