Pet of the Week

Pet of the Week

I love when we get to groom a dog breed that’s kind of rare for our area. The only Pekingese we groom at Mountain Paws is this little beauty- Sadie. She is 12 years old and her parents say she is so loving.

Usually Pekingese are known for long hair that touches the floor but keeping one like that is alot of upkeep! Her parents like her coat short and easy. Sadie’s getting older so sleeping is her favorite activity but she does get excited and playful when Uncle Leroy comes to visit.

Sadie’s parents say that she barks alot (too much) and can be stubborn but does anything for Puperoni or a Milk Bone.

She is spoiled and owned by Alice and Gary Schwab.

The Pekingese is an ancient breed of dog from China. They are known for their independence and confidence. They are also known for their strong bond and loyalty to their family. Once a Pekingese comes into your world they will love you and maybe a few people in your circle but they are wary of strangers.

If you’re looking for a sweet loyal companion they may be a perfect fit.

Becca and George Peters, owners of Mountain Paws Grooming and Boarding on Moore Hill, cherish their work with pets of Cameron County. They aim to share the joy of their daily interactions with pets through this feature.
