Pennsylvania State Police based in Emporium announce the following criminal and traffic activity.

• September 25 - The Pennsylvania State Police, Emporium Station will hold a FREE Child Safety Seat Check Event at the Emporium State Police Station, 12921 Route 120,  from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. No appointment is necessary. For any questions or to inquire about the event, please contact Trooper Barnwell at 814-486-3321.

• September 2 - A cell phone was found at the Twisted Sister ice cream stand, 14 W. 4th Street, at 7:28 p.m. The owner of the phone can claim the phone at PSP Emporium located at 12921 Rt. 120.

• August 29 - Police are investigating the theft of the following at Bucktail Trail Hwy./Mason Run Rd.: Evolution LTX Ross fishing reel, value $475; CLA Ross fishing reel, value $220; 8’4” Pure RC Winston fishing rod, value $995; 10’ Pure RC Winston fishing rod, value $995. This theft occurred on August 21st. Anyone with information pertaining to this incident should contact the PA State Police at 814-486-3321. The investigation is still ongoing.
